द सिटी पैलेस संग्रहालय, उदयपुर को ब्रिटिश लाइब्रेरी और CSMVS के सहयोग से प्रस्तुत अपनी आगामी अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रदर्शनी “प्रारंभिक फोटोग्राफी और पश्चिमी भारत का पुरातत्व: उदयपुर अध्याय” की घोषणा करते हुए प्रसन्नता हो रही है। यह प्रदर्शनी मूल रूप से ब्रिटिश काउंसिल के सहयोग से विकसित की गई थी।
इस प्रदर्शनी में 1855 से 1900 के बीच पश्चिमी भारत के कुछ महत्वपूर्ण स्मारकों और पुरातात्विक स्थलों का दस्तावेजीकरण करने वाले यूरोपीय और भारतीय पुरातत्वविदों, सर्वेक्षकों, अभियंताओं और फोटोग्राफरों के कार्यों को प्रस्तुत किया गया है। प्रदर्शनी में उदयपुर, इसकी स्थापत्य विरासत, सांस्कृतिक परिदृश्य और मेवाड़ में फोटोग्राफी के इतिहास पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है।
