Events in Dubai

Everything on in Dubai right now — concerts and ghazal nights, stand-up and open mics, gallery openings, pottery workshops, run clubs and temple aartis. We follow the venues and community hosts who actually run things here, and check the ticketing sites weekly, so this is one list instead of ten Instagram accounts.

Going out in Dubai

When things actually happen

The week here is back-loaded. 69% of the dated events on this page fall on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, so planning around a weekend gets you several times the choice a Tuesday does. Weeknights are not empty — they are where the recurring things live: open mics, run clubs, book clubs and language meets that keep a fixed evening whether or not anything bigger is on. Those are also the easiest to walk into alone, because turning up by yourself is the norm rather than the exception.

63% of the listings that publish a start time begin at 5pm or later. Daytime in Dubai belongs to workshops, markets and gallery hours; music, comedy and the social half of the calendar is an evening business, and doors are routinely half an hour later than the poster says.

What it costs

100% of what is listed here carries a booking link, mostly through District and BookMyShow. Where a price is published it runs from ₹15 to ₹550, and a typical ticket is around ₹125. The rest is free or pay-what-you-want. Community nights — open mics, run clubs, reading meets, gallery openings, temple aartis — rarely charge, and several of the best regular evenings in the city are among them, so a thin wallet is not much of a constraint on going out here.

Where things happen

Dubai's event map is a lot narrower than the city is. Most of what gets announced clusters into a handful of rooms: right now the busiest are Cavo (7 coming up), Coca-Cola Arena (7 coming up), Al Quoz Industrial 1, Street 4B, The Courtyard Al Quoz Dubai, United Arab Emirates (6 coming up), Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA) (5 coming up) and Dubai Opera (4 coming up). By neighbourhood it concentrates in Al Quoz, Jumeirah, Expo City and Dubai Media City — which is where to look first if you are deciding what part of town to be in. Institutional venues carry the talks, theatre and exhibitions; cafes, studios and bookshops carry the open mics, workshops and small gigs, and those move around far more.

How anyone finds out

There is no place the city publishes its calendar to. Dubai's events live on Instagram — a venue or a collective posts a poster, sometimes a fortnight out and sometimes the night before, and if you do not already follow that account you never hear about it. Ticketed shows are easier to find and are also the smallest part of what actually runs. That gap is the whole reason this page exists: we watch the accounts that post, pull the ticketing sites on the same schedule, fold duplicate announcements into one listing, and rebuild the page daily so a date that moves moves here too.

Dubai events, answered

› What events are on in Dubai today?

3 events are on in Dubai today: Visitor Registration for AccessAbilities Expo 2026, Dubai's Big Business, Tech & Entrepreneur Professional Networking Soriee and ABA League | Dubai Basketball vs SC Derby. Today's listings are at the top of this page, with start times where the host published one.

› What is happening in Dubai this week?

64 events are on in Dubai over the next seven days, including ABA League | Dubai Basketball vs SC Derby, Visitor Registration for AccessAbilities Expo 2026 and Dubai's Big Business, Tech & Entrepreneur Professional Networking Soriee. The full list is above, sorted by date.

› Are there free events in Dubai?

Plenty. Community events — open mics, run clubs, book clubs, gallery openings, temple aartis — are usually free or ask for a small contribution at the door, while concerts, comedy and workshops are ticketed. Each listing shows the price where the host published one, and links straight to the booking page.

› Where are most events in Dubai held?

Dubai's calendar clusters in a handful of places. Right now the venues with the most on are Cavo (7), Coca-Cola Arena (7), Al Quoz Industrial 1, Street 4B, The Courtyard Al Quoz Dubai, United Arab Emirates (6), Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA) (5) and Dubai Opera (4). Every venue we track has its own page listing what is coming up there.

› Where do these events come from?

We follow a curated list of Dubai venues, collectives and community hosts on Instagram, and pull ticketed events from District, BookMyShow and other ticketing sites. Everything is de-duplicated, so an event announced in several places appears once with all its sources.

› How often is the Dubai events calendar updated?

Every week. Ticketed listings refresh their dates and prices on the same run, so a show that moves date moves here too.
